National U-20 men’s team, Flying Eagles, Sunday emerged winners of the 2015 Super Six tournament with 13 points after a thrilling 3-3 draw with Dream Team VI at the Abuja National Stadium.

The Flying Eagles finished top of the tournament with 13 points, while Dream Team were runners-up on nine points.

The game was interesting and explosive as both sides played out their best.

Flying Eagles broke the deadlock in the 28th minute through Prince Aggreh, who slotted home Taiwo Awoniyi’s pass.

In the 32nd minute, substitute Peter Onyekachi blasted home a left-footer to put the game on level pegging after good work by Godwin Saviour.

Dream Team then went in front when Oghenekaro Etebor converted a spot kick in the concluding seconds of the first half after defender Zaharadeen Bello handled Godwin Saviour’s cross.

Bernard Bulbwa restored parity for the Flying Eagles in the 54th minute with a half volley.
Oghenekaro Etebo netted his second goal of the game in the 66th minute to give the Dream Team a 3-2 lead.

However, the Flying Eagles equalised again through Chidera Eze in the 74th minute, when he powered home in a header off Musa Muhammed’s cross.

Godwin Saviour and Tiongoli Tonbara held a sway in the midfield for the U23s.

Awoniyi threatened as early as the ninth minute when he failed to connect Obinna Nwobodo’s pass and Dream Team defender Chris Madaki was booked for a foul on Bernard Bulbwa soon after.

On the half hour mark, Awoniyi had his shot at goal blocked by Dream Team goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel.

In the 53rd minute, Emmanuel Daniel a saved from an indirect free kick taken by Abdullahi Alfa.
In the concluding moments of this clash, Awoniyi fired wide to deny the Flying Eagles five straight wins in the Super 6.
