Super Eagles Arrive In Austria For World Cup Preparation

By James Agberebi:
The Super Eagles have arrived in Vienna, Austria where they will be based ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The team’s arrival was confirmed in a 44 seconds video published on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) verified Twitter handle on Sunday afternoon.

In the video, the players and officials were embarking on a luxury bus at the airport which would take them to their base in Bad Tatzmanndsdorf, about three hours away by bus.

They departed London on Sunday morning after playing a friendly against England on Saturday at Wembley Stadium which they lost 2-1.

“The Super Eagles have arrived in Vienna. They head to their Avita Resort Base camp where they will train for the next couple of days,” the NFF wrote on their handle.

On Wednesday the Super Eagles will continue their preparations for the World Cup by taking on Czech Republic in Austria.

    Alhamdulilah for the journey mercy.
It’s time to focus now Super Eagles.

However, you people should understand that Joel Obi is not 100% fit. Same thing happened to Ebuehi before England match and people already says Ebuehi wasn’t good enough. I’m grateful that Ebuehi is fit again and ready to go. Joel will surprised many of you.

I’m so happy that He Joel and Balogun made the final list. Because I’m scared of their injury. Hmmm…. that is 9ja people for you. However, I’m rightly behind you Joel. He will bounces back and fully fit.

I’m very pleased with the final 23 man list. Also, glad to see that Simy made final list. Coach Rohr have learnt his leason in yesterday match. He must getting his tactics right.

Eagles makes England looks like defending champion but they were not at all. If to say we got everything right in that match, we would have won the match.

Just watched Croatia match on YouTube. Their style of play very similar to Polish team. They are rough and Eagles should be ready for a big task against Croatia.

For the Iceland match, if Eagles doesn’t under rates the Iceland team and play with total commitments and God on our side, 6 points already there waiting for us. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • Is a lie there is no where Brazil look like killing them. I watched the match live they played better in the first half until the introduction of Neymar that changed everything after their midfield talisman (Modric) had been substituted. They re a very good side far better than Poland.
