Dele Alampasu has told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is surprised but delighted with his invitation to the Super Eagles.
The former junior international is among the three players invited by Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, as replacements for the home-based players who were unable to travel to Belgium for the upcoming friendlies against Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon.
The Portugal-based goalkeeper told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is elated with chance to link up the Super Eagles for the first time.
"This invitation has come to me as a surprise, but I'm happy with the chance to play for the Super Eagles,"Alampasu told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"It's a new challenge for me and I hope to make the best of it."
The shot stopper recently linked up with Portuguese second division side, SC Feirense.
He has represented Nigeria at different age-grade levels in recent years.
