As the Super Eagles’ crucial 2015 AFCON qualifying games against Sudan fast approach, we turn our attention on the form of the players who will be in action (or sit on the bench) against Sudan.
Over 15 of the players invited by coach Stephen Keshi were involved in their clubs’ league games over the weekend across Europe, Africa and Asia.
The Eagles unfortunately will not have the services of Victor Moses and Babatunde Michael due to injuries .
The team continues to be deprived of the skill and experience of Obafemi Martins, Ike Uche, Brown Ideye (though on the mend from a recent injury) and the youthful exuberance but the impressive talent of Kelechi Iheanacho, amongst others due to the cheer refusal of Stephen Keshi.
Based on the present form of the invited players, which player do you think could be the Eagles’ biggest hopes? Which players do you think are ‘not hot’ (off form) and don’t deserve their invitation for these games?
Which player(s) do you think could be the Eagles’ joker in the October 11th and 15th games?
Are there players you think Keshi should have invited but he didn’t? What do you make of Keshi’s decision not to invite certain players to the team?
