Why poor player like Joel Obi go dey wear great players like Oliseh’s number to the worldcup? he doesnt fit into the shoes biko. Guy is so poor on the field of play that i am wondering if Rohr is watching the game in blurry googles…from the match against Poland to Serbia, from Congo to England, Joel Obi has been poor back to back, yet he still made the team, while lots of creative and combatant midfielders int he NPFL (Dayo Ojo, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and likes) were not called up and the versatile Ola Aina was even dropped h. May we not be haunted at the Worldcup by our mistakes.

    • Like play, like play, we have won only one out of the last 4 matches, okay…, they are friendly matches. izzorit.

      • Later we will be complaining of FIFA RANKING… Okay, #Kwantinu

  • Mr. Editor, have you forgotten how to count 1,2,3, 4…….
Why not write in ascending or descending order?

    • if you’re observant you’ll notice he listed them according to positions. Goal keepers first followed by defenders, then midfielders before attackers…

  • I’m not a fan of Joel Obi but i believe he’s a good player. He has left the Super Eagle’s style of play for a very long time due to lack of calls. Right now, he’s struggling to bleed. He is a utility player, he can play LB & LW. For 0la Aina, he’s not a natural LB. I don’t like coaches who feature right legged for LB. – My 0pinion

TBH, Shehu, Onazi and Joel obi doesn’t deserve a starting berth…, They are not technical IMO…Do you guys know that since Nigeria qualified for this world cup,we’ve not won any match Onazi has started.

  • TBH, Shehu,Onazi and Joel are not technical at all , they were really poor in our last game. Do You guys know that Nigeria have not won any game Onazi has started since we qualified for the world cup and the midfield is where you win and lose games…

I’m so surprised at the inclusion of ogenyi onazi in that list. That guy hasn’t replicate his form in his club level in the national team.for me, I think he didn’t merit the inclusion.

you might just be right @ Amen .Ola aina is not a natural left back and then the right and central defense already made up. I think thats why he was left out. All the same, he is a good material.

Pls can someone clarify if she is eligible to play the opening match becos I recall points was dead from Nigeria due to is ineligibility to play against Algeria

  • Nigeria is blessed with great players……. Onazi, Joel might have flopped but they are good players

I think currently shehu Joel onazi shd be far frm d first team. They are not in form, neither are technically sound in terms of reading d game as it is happening in front of them. I think dey only play better if it is against an African opposition. This might not be a fool proof fact

We should not be sentimental about any player. Vincent s of age. Do you think he still has all those reflexes? Remember the case of Peter Rufai in his ;last world cup for Nigeria. Due to calls like this one…

  • There is no selection that every body would say is ok.support every player but if u don’t want to u’d better go and sleep, complainants.
