The group stage draw for the 2014/15 Europa League season was conducted on Friday, and clubs parading Super Eagles players finally knew their group opponents in the Europe’s second tier club competition.
Leading the cast of Eagles stars whose teams were drawn is Vincent Enyeama. The goalkeeper’s club, Lille was pooled alongside Wolfsburg, Everton and Kuban Krasnoder in Group H.
Out of favour Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche will be aiming to score more goals for Villarreal who are in Group A with Borussia Monchengladbach, FC Zurich and Apollon.
Efe Ambrose’s Celtic will play in the Europa League rather than the Champions League despite a reprieve during the Champions League play-offs against NK Maribor.
So Ambrose and his teammates on Friday realised that they will face Red Bull Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb and Astra in Group D of the Europa League and not at the continent’s ‘top table’.
Joel Obi’s Inter Milan have Dnipro, Saint Etienne and Qarabag for company in Group F.
Former youth international Lukman Haruna will play a huge role for Ukranian side, Dynamo Kiev in Group J as they confront Steaua Bucharest, Rio Ave and AaB.

Though still a youth player for north London club, Tottenham Hotspurs, former Golden Eaglets but now Flying Eagles star, Musa Yahaya, could get a rare chance to impress in the first team as they are grouped alongside Besiktas, Partizan Belgrade and Asteras in Group C.
