African Women’s champions Super Falcons got $18,000 each for lifting the AWC a record seventh time at the weekend.
NFF general secretary Musa Amadu disclosed this to African Football website in Abuja after a ministerial reception for the team.
Musa explained, “We are obviously very proud of these girls.
“For the group stage matches, the girls got $3000 each.They got $4000 for winning the semifinals and $5000 for lifting the cup.
“So all together they got $18,000 bonus outside their camp allowances.”
They will be received by Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday in Abuja and they are expected to smile even more to the bank.
Nigeria beat Cameroon 2-0 in the final on Saturday in Namibia.
They will represent Africa at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada along with Cameroon and Cote d’Ivoire.
