Super Falcons have vowed to beat the She Amavubi of Rwanda in their second leg Africa Women Championship, AWC qualifier scheduled for Ahmadu Bello stadium, Kaduna today.

Falcons arrived Kaduna on Wednesday with an assurance that they would consolidate on the 4-1 advantage recorded in their first leg in Rwanda by beating Rwanda and advance to the next stage of the qualifiers.

The girls who are optimistic agreed that the She Amavubi’s would come fighting, but they would be beaten soundly again, in response to the charge of President Goodluck Jonathan to finish what they started two weeks ago by dismissing Rwanda from the Africa Women Championship, AWC.

Captain of the team, Evelyn Nwabuoku said there is no cause for alarm as they are ready for whatever opposition Rwanda will offer adding, “We are ready for them and we are not really concerned about the pitch whether it is artificial or grass, we are at
home and we will make it count.”

Veteran, Onome Ebi said Rwanda will fall no matter how much they try, noting that Falcons are looking beyond the qualifiers and are focusing on the AWC in Namibia.

Also, midfielder Asisat Oshoala on her part said that Super Falcons are set to make the first leg score line look like a child’s play as they would pummel their visitors come Saturday (today).
Rising star in the Super Falcons nest, Chiwendu Ihezuo said they will not underrate their guest despite having a 4-1 lead from the first leg in Gisenyi, pointing out that, “we want to hold tight to our lead and try to win again by whatever goals margin.

The Rwandan delegation arrived Abuja on Thursday from Kigali and moved to Kaduna by road for the crucial match today.

Meanwhile former African women’s player of the year, Perpetua Nkwocha is wishing the team the best of luck in the game.

Nkwocha used the social media outlet Facebook to express her backing for the team, saying: “Super falcon#wishing you guys best of luck#With God on your side#make all nigeria’s happy.”
