Super Sand Eagles Land In Lagos After Beach Soccer World Cup Ouster

The Nigerian Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick met with Supersand Eagles on arrival from the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas on Friday in Lagos, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

 

The Super Sand Eagles failed to advance to the quarter-finals of the competition winning just one of their three group games. 

 

The team lost to Italy 12-6 in their opening game but bounced back to defeat Mexico 5-4 before losing 2-1 Iran on penalties after regulation time ended 4-4. 

 

The official handle of the NFF tweeted a group photograph of the team and Pinnick on their arrival from the Bahamas with a note beneath.
