By Adeboye Amosu:

Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi has expressed his support for the team ahead of this weekend's 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifying against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania.

The Lazio of Italy midfielder  is suspended for the crucial encounter that will take place at the National Stadium, Dar es Salaam after he was sent-off in the Super Eagles match day one 2-0 win against Chad.

And he took to Twitter to encourage his collegues who are in Abuja perfecting strategies ahead of  the match.

"I wish my teammates  all the best as they start preparation for the most important qualifying game against Tanzania," Onazi wrote on his Twitter handle.

"Really sorry for the red card in the last match against Chad in Kaduna.

"I will be the number one fan  of the Super Eagles when we play Tanzania and I will pray for victory which is the most important.

"I will join you guys as soon as I serve my two match suspension."

The Super Eagles are second on the table behind Pharaohs of Egypt albeit on goal difference after both sides enjoyed comfortable wins in their opening fixture.

Nigeria beat Chad 2-0, while Egypt pip Tanzania 3-0 at home.
