English Premiership side Swansea City have lodged a £2.4m offer for the highly-rated Ramon Azeez who impressed in his breakthrough year in Spanish football last season.
The Swans had previously been linked with the 21-year-old Almeria midfielder who played in the recent World Cup in Brazil for Nigeria.
Currently in Thailand, where the Almería squad are on tour during the second phase of their pre-season preparations, Almería are likely to want a much bigger fee for Azeez whom they regard as a key element in their midfield and would be difficult to replace.
Following the rise of Almería to the Primera division, Azeez not only stepped up into the first-team, but also produced consistent impressive performances throughout the season, clocking up 30 appearance and 2 goals in La Liga.
He made his full international debut in the 0-0 draw with Mexico. That was followed by a second appearance against the USA in June and his inclusion in the squad for the World Cup finals in Brazil.
