HJK Helsinki’s Nigerian trio of Taye Taiwo, Nnamdi Oduamadi and Paul Onovo all made the 23-man squad to face Lithuanian side, FK Atlantas, in Thursday’s first leg UEFA Europa League first round qualifying game at the Klaipédosmiesto Centrinis stadium, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
While Oduamadi and Onovo are poised for their European debut, Taiwo who has featured in this competition in the past with Olympique Marseille and Dynamo Kiev will make is 30th appearance if he features in the encounter.
He has scored four times in the competition.
The 31-year-old made his debut in the third round UEFA Intertoto Cup competition in 2005 with Marseille’s 3-2 win away to Swiss side Young Boys.
Taiwo has scored six goals from 15 league matches, while Oduamadi has found the back of the net four times from 14 games.
HJK Helsinki will face either Beroe Stara Zagora from Bulgaria or FK Radnik Bijeljina from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the second qualifying round.
