Tanzania coach Charles Benjamin Mkwasa has declared his side’s readiness to take on Nigeria in this weekend’s 2017 African Cup qualifier billed for the National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam.
The Taifa Stars have been perfecting strategies in Turkey for the past one week ahead of the crucial clash where they played a high-profile friendly against Libya last Friday.
“The training has helped build their stamina. The team can now maintain high tempo play for long and press forward as a unit while striking, which is a good sign as we plan for Nigeria.” he told the Tanzania Football Federation official website.
The tactician has also praised the Turkey camp saying it has given them conducive environment to fully implement their training program in both physical and technical aspects as well as bringing cohesion in the whole team.
”It’s really nice out here in Turkey as the training facility is one of the best you can get anywhere in the world.
”I want to give kudos to the Federation for making it possible for us to train in a wonderful environment like the one we have here in Turkey.
”In our time here, we have worked on a lot of things that will help us on the day of the match.
Tanzania lost their opening game in the qualifying series to Egypt 3-0, while Nigeria beat Chad 2-0 in Kaduna.
