Tanzania Star Out Of Eagles Clash

By Johnny Edward:

Tanzania head coach, Charles Boniface Mkwasa, has ruled out Simba Stars midfielder Abdi Banda from Saturday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in Dar-es-Salaam, completesportsnigeria.com can report.

Banda picked up a minor knock during the Taifa Stars training camp in Turkey and will miss the clash according to Mkwasa.

“With the exception of just one player who is injured, Abdi Banda, all the other players are fit and everyone will get a chance on Saturday and will do well,” the coach told the Tanzania Football Federation’s official website.

Mkwasa then called on the fans of the Stars to turn out en masse at National Stadium on Saturday to cheer the national team to victory against the Super Eagles.

Also captain of the Taifa Stars, Nadir Haroub “Cannavaro” is confident his side can shock the Eagles following their preparations.

Nadir said: “Every player is fit, so anyone who gets the chance to play he believes will do well in Tanzania flag flies,” he was quoted on www.tff.or.tz.

Meanwhile the Stars will arrive Dar es Salaam on Tuesday after an eight-day camp in the mountains of Katrepe – Kocaeli in Turkey for the encounter.
