The Management of Glo Premier League side, FC Taraba have been granted 10 working days extension by the League Management Company to pay up all debts owed their players or face sanctions which includes points deduction, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The temporary reprieve for the club followed a letter of undertaking from the Government of Taraba State dated September 25th, signed by the Chief of Staff, Government House Administration, pledging to defray all outstanding indebtness to the players and officials.
The LMC in a release made available to Completesportsnigeria.com made it known to the club that the summary jurisdiction notice issued it on July 30th which required it to pay financial entitlements of the players within 60 days had expired.
The League body said it was in consideration of the commitment by the government that further action will be put on hold for a period of ten working days (i.e until 5.pm Friday, 16th October,2015), within which period the payment must have commenced.
The players, Completesportsnigeria.com scooped are yet to receive their salaries for the past 13 months.
