John Terry has backed referee Michael Oliver for waving away numerous penalty appeals as Chelsea played out a goalless draw at Arsenal.
Oscar was taken out by Gunners keeper David Ospina early on but Oliver failed to point to spot while he booked Cesc Fabregas for diving after the Spaniard went over in the box.
Arsenal also had a penalty shout rejected when an Alexis Sanchez shot struck Gary Cahill’s arm.
And Blues captain Terry, 34, thought all three calls were spot on.
“I think he probably got them right,” he said. “All of them actually.
“I think the ones for defenders where they are really close and deflections, the captains met the referees at the start of the season and they’re not going to be given.
“They made that clear to all the teams and the other ones he got right as well.”
The result leaves Chelsea 10-points clear of Manchester City and Arsenal in the Premier League table.
Jose Mourinho’s men travel to the King Power Stadium on Wednesday to face relegation-threatened Leicester.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
