Castleford Tigers centre Jake Webster has agreed a two-year deal with Bradford Bulls from the start of 2019. The New Zealand international has previously played in the NRL with Melbourne Storm and the Gold Coast Titans before heading to the UK with Hull KR and then Castleford.
Webster will add more experience to the Bulls side, and head coach John Kear is delighted to have him on board.
“I’m really pleased to secure this deal,” Kear said. “I have always admired Jake. He is a player that is a huge threat to any defensive line and sets a good example as a professional and leader.
“We know what is required and expected of players in the Bradford Bulls shirt and with the support of our fans we are able to build and add to a squad that I know will stand us in good stead for the campaigns ahead.”
Webster is looking forward to the new challenge but took the time to thank the Cas faithful for their support.
“I have a very heavy heart leaving Castleford. The biggest memory from my time here at Castleford will be the fans in the stands,” he said.
“They’ve been fantastic, and they follow us everywhere we go. That’s why I spend so much time after the game with them, ultimately, we’re out here playing for them.
“Winning the League Leaders’ Shield will always stick out at the pinnacle of my time here at Castleford. I’d like to thank all the fans and all of the staff and coaches here at Castleford for their support over the years.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
