Conor Coady insists strict training methods are the key to their defensive success in the early part of the Premier League season.
The West Midlanders have made an impressive return to the top flight, sitting ninth in the table with 12 points from seven games played.
Concerns have been raised a bout a lack of firepower up from as the fans have witnessed their heroes net just eight times to date.
It is at the other end of the pitch that they have been solid, with just two league goals conceded in their past five games and three clean sheets.
Coady, Ryan Bennett, Willy Boly and Jonny Castro Otto have been instrumental in keeping out the opposition and the club skipper says the defensive bond between the players has not happened by accident.
“We pride ourselves on our clean sheets and the more we get, the better it will be,” said Coady. “We do it over and over again (in training), the same thing.
“But that’s how we want it because we want to get better and improve every day and listen to (boss Nuno Espirito Santo) as much as we can every day to improve and hopefully we can.
“When you go into training, you know what the sessions are about so you know what to do when you go into them. You know how to improve and you know when you listen to him how you’re going to improve as well.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
