Trapp Pens Frankfurt Loan Deal

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has joined former club Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan deal. The 28-year-old spent three years with the Bundesliga side from 2012-2015 before moving to the Parc des Princes in a 10m euros deal.

The Germany international has made 91 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 giants but has slipped to third choice behind Gianluigi Buffon and Alphonse Areola.
Trapp has now moved back to Frankfurt after the German outfit’s keeper Frederik Ronnow suffered an injury.

“Unfortunately, our goalkeeper suffered a knee injury in preparation that has not quite healed – it is still bothering him,” said Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hubner.
“We believe in Frederik’s qualities and we are convinced. However, he has also given us the opportunity to sign Kevin, who is ready to play and is also a very identifiable figure with great leadership potential.”
