The Football Association announced Trippier’s withdrawal on Tuesday, following assessment of the injury at St George’s Park, and he will now be treated by the Spurs medical staff.
Kieran was injured in Spurs’ Premier League win at Crystal Palace on Saturday and at the time boss Mauricio Pochettino could not say how serious it was.
The severity has still not been revealed but the FA have confirmed he will play no part in the next two games. “He’ll return to his club to continue rehabilitation,” the FA said.
Trippier has established himself as a first-choice defender in Southgate’s England team since making his debut against France in June 2017 and was part of the team which earned a memorable 3-2 Nations League victory over Spain in Seville last month.
England face USA in the Wayne Rooney Foundation International on Thursday at Wembley, with Croatia visiting on Sunday in the Nations League.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
