Super Eagles and Gent defender William Troost-Ekong has been included in the Belgian top flight Team of the Week, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Troost-Ekong confirmed his inclusion in the list on his Twitter handle on Saturday.
His selection is as a result of his impressive performance for Gent in their 2-0 away win against Zulte-Waregem in the Belgian Championship title play-off on Tuesday.
Troost-Ekong played for 90 minutes while his Super Eagles teammate Moses Simon was also in action for Gent.
Also in the team are Troost-Ekong's teammates goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic and Yuya Kubo, and Club Brugge trio Benoit Poulain, Jose Izquierdo and Jelle Vossen.
Also included are Hamdi Harbaoui, Clinton Mata and Damien Marcq all from Sporting Charleroi, and Lierse duo Faysel Kasmi and Manuel Benson.
Gent are currently second in the Belgian Championship title play-off table on 36 points, five points adrift of leaders Club Brugge.
They will continue their quest of winning the league title when they entertain Anderlecht on Sunday.
