One cap Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has ruled out a move to the English Premier League.
Troost-Ekong is a free agent after his loan spell at Dordrecht from Groningen ended at the end of last season.
The centre-back, who made his international debut for the Eagles in their 2-0 win over Chad, told thenff.com in an interview that he could be joining a club based in Germany, Belgium or Holland.
“I don’t think I’m returning to Dordrecht. There’s some serious interest that has been developing this week, and by God’s grace I will have one nice club in the next few weeks,” said William Troost-Ekong.
“It’s every player’s dream to play in the Premier League but I think it will be too early for me to go there now.
“Holland, Belgium, Germany is where there’s interest and maybe England but it won’t be in the top league but we have to see in the next few weeks what happens.”
