Unperturbed by Nigeria’s goal frenzy against The Mena of Niger Republic on Tuesday, Carthage Eagles of Tunisia manager Hatem Masoui, said he was not losing any sleep on how to tame Super Eagles danger-man Chison Chikatara on Friday.
In a chat with newsmen in Kigali, the ex-international maintained that his focus is not on the Nigerian rave of the moment, rather he has instructed his players to defend as a unit when Nigeria face Tunisia at the Kigali stadium on Friday.
Abia Warriors and Super Eagles striker, Chikatara, put up a man of the match performance against Niger Republic on Monday scoring a hat-trick in Nigeria 4-1 demolition of their West African neighbours, but coach Misaoui insisted his defenders will be ready to tame the Nigerian striker collectively.
“We respect Nigeria as team and I must say they are a good side but we are going to defend as a unite and not individually.
"Chikatara is the rave of the moment, but our tactics does not single out any player, rather we defend as a team.
"We are not going to focus on just one player in the Nigerian team, but take everybody serious because we know how important the game is to us,” Misaoui said.
Speaking further on his team’s chances, Misaoui expressed confident in the ability of his players to go all out against Home Eagles, saying Ahmed Akaichi is to Tunisia what Chikatara is to Nigeria.”
“ We also have Akaichi who scored two goals against Guinea even though he could have scored more in the opening match.
“ My team will give their best, and hopefully, we will qualify from the group.
“ We have come, not necessarily to beat Nigeria, but all that matters now is to qualify from the group,” Misaoui saidFastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
