Two-Goal Hero Mitrovic: Serbia Dominant, Deserved Victory Over Super Eagles

By Adeboye Amosu:

Serbia forward Aleksandar Mitrovic is thrilled to have bagged a brace in Tuesday’s friendly win against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Hive Stadium, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

Mitrovic, who was unlucky not to have a goal to his name in the first half after Nigeria goalkeeper Francis Uzoho clawed back his header which had already crossed the line in the first half, netted twice after the break to give his team the win.

It was a dominant display from the Serbians who put behind them last Friday’s 2-1 loss to Morocco.

“Two goals, I scored another which was not counted but it’s the team that is more important,” the striker who plays for English Championship club Fulham stated after the game.

“It was a good match and good result for us. We played well and won which is the important thing for us. We did everything the coach asked us to do. We dominated the game and had total control.

” We were the better team and we deserved to win the game. Now, we go back to our clubs and we are all eager to re-assemble again because we know what is expected in Russia.”

When I’m talking you guys should listen! Check every Nigeria sports site now, Nwakeli is the answer to the Eagles problem people are saying. I have said it before and I will say it again and again. We need this Nwakeli junior, Plus Obafemi Martin’s, Desser, Adi or Onuahi. Coach must links Nwakeli with our strikers. We have no time left, Nwakeli is the missing link in that team. Complete sports hope you guys are reading all our comments? It’s time to talk to Oga Rohr. Oga Rohr needs to have of these strikers in his team. God bless Nigeria!!!

Read one of the Nigeria sport news.

A playmaker with class, one highly rated by Arsenal and currently on loan at MVV Maastricht in Holland.

How is he not? It’s a subject regular observers ponder. How is Kelechi Nwakali not included in the Super Eagles squad?

A player of grace, vision and football acumen, but one on the periphery at international level.

It’s a strong national team, to be fair. And Nwakali is a creative midfielder – the Eagles are not short of those.

MVV fans would tell you how talented he is – one of the jewels of their campaign, a player to help facilitate the club’s attacking principles.

Few midfielders are on the ball as much as the Nigerian in the Dutch second tier. Few can boast his passing accuracy, sitting at just over 87 per cent.

He is a fantastic player who is able to read the play before anyone else.

That’s the major ingredient the Super Eagles lacked in their recent friendlies against Poland and Serbia respectively.

The former Golden Eaglets skipper will be hoping further great performances can aid a late bid for a spot in the national squad traveling to Russia.

It would be a fitting way to crown his time to date in MVV, where he feels at ease, national team or not.

@Omo9ja, my advise to you! Please, form your own national team and invite all the guys that you are swooning about.

  • Sound like an agent or a relative.. how logical is it that a teen, when haven’t played any real senior class football would suddenly dominate at world level. Even the great okacha couldn’t do that in his 1year of joining the national team.

I understand driving support for one you like but you have to be rational, think with your head and not your heart…. He isn’t ready for the national team yet. Playing in the Netherlands league or getting 10 minutes every second match in the German league is hardly a sign of the next Messi
