The Golden Eaglets fell to a 3-2 defeat against Burkina Faso in their first Group B game at the zonal U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Niger on Monday, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
The Eaglets dominated possession in the game but were let down by their poor defending.
Olusegun Olakunle scored both goals for Manu Garba’s charges who came back from two goals down to levelled scores at 2-2 in the first half.
Burkina Faso netted the winning goal 12 minutes from time from a solo effort by their top striker.
The Eaglets will play their next game on Thursday against Cote d’Ivoire.
