U-17 WWC Qualifier: Cameroon Coach Sure Of Victory Over Flamingoes

By Hanifat Mustapha: The coach of Cameroon U-17 women’s national team Stephane Ndzana believes his team can defeat the Flamingoes of Nigeria in Yaoundé in the second leg of the final round of the Uruguay 2018 U-17 Women’s World qualifiers.

The first leg in Nigeria ended 2-2 and Ndzana is confident his girls will get the result needed to qualify on Sunday.

“The team is doing well. The girls are serene, they trust the training they have received so far. If they could draw 2-2 in Nigeria, they can do better at home,” Ndzama told the FECAFOOT official website.

“Cameroonians are technically good at both collectively and individually. The Nigerians meanwhile are fast and powerful in attacking and attacking midfield.

“We focus on three aspects: pressing against the opponent, efficiency in goal and offensive technique. With this work, we believe that if the instructions are well implemented, the girls have every chance to win this game on Sunday and qualify for the World Cup.

“My personal touch is the serenity and honesty I bring to this team. I prefer working with the good players and I can say that my team is composed of good players. This serenity makes the players less stressed. In these conditions, they give the best of themselves.”

He also call on Yaounde fans to come cheer the girls.

“I take this opportunity to invite the public of Yaoundé to come to support many of his team on Sunday, to come many and watch this game and encourage the girls,” he added.
