Nigeria national U-17 women’s team, Flamingoes, thrashed Namibia 5-0 in the return leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier on Friday.
The result of the game, which was played inside the Sam Nujoma Stadium, Windhoek, saw the Flamingoes qualify for the next round 9-0 on aggregate.
Patience Dike put the Flamingoes 1-0 up when she struck in the sixth minute.
Cynthia Aku made it 2-0 in the 37th minute. She scored her second goal and Flamingoes third, netting 10 minutes into the second half.
Rasheedat Ajibade got on the score sheet in the 70th minute, before Yetunde Fajobi registered Flamingoes’ fifth goal.
