Guinea came from a goal down to beat the Amajita of South Africa 2-1 to finish third at the Total 2017 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
South Africa took the lead in the sixth minute through Liam Jordan.
Guinea got back on level terms in the eighth minute following an own goal by Katlego Mohamme.
With five minutes left to play, Naby Bangoura scored the winner from the penalty spot after South Africa’s skipper Tercious Malepe handled the ball inside his 18-yard box.
Both Guinea and South Africa alongside 2017 AFCON U-20 finalists, Zambia and Senegal, will represent Africa at this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea.
