2017 AFCON U-20: Senegal Hold Sudan After Late Goal

 

Sudan, who eliminated Nigeria in the qualifiers, were left heart-broken after conceding a late goal in their 1-1 draw against Senegal in Group B's opening game of the 2017 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Zambia on Monday.

 

Hassan Mutwakil gave Sudan the surprise lead in the 20th minute of the game.

But in the 88th minute, Ibrahima Niane scored for Senegal to  help his team salvage a point.

 

Sudan's next game is on Thursday when they will square off against Cameroon, while Senegal will do battle against South Africa.

 

The group's other game will be between Cameroon and South Africa also on Monday.
