By James Agberebi:
Nigerian-born defender Fikayo Tomori scored an own goal as England were forced to a 1-1 draw by Guinea in Group A at the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea on Tuesday.
England looked to be heading for their second win of the tournament (after beating Argentina 3-0 in their first game) when they took the lead in the 53rd minute.
But Tomori's own-goal in the 59th minute made sure both teams shared the spoils.
The Chelsea defender's back pass under no pressure left Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who was off his line, stranded as the ball agonisingly rolled into the net.
The draw temporarily took England to top of the group on four points, while Guinea are on one point.
Other players of Nigerian descent who featured in the game against Guinea were Chelsea's Dominic Solanke, Sheyi Ojo of Liverpool and Ademola Lookman of Everton.
England's final group game is against hosts South Korea on Friday, while Guinea and Argentina will square off against each other also on Friday.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
