Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa was hauled off at half time as Leicester City suffered a 5-0 humiliating defeat away to FC Porto in their final UEFA Champions League Group G game on Wednesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The defeat was the Foxes’ heaviest defeat this season in all competitions and the worst defeat in the Champions League groups for an English side.

Musa who made his second start (his fourth appearance) in the competition was replaced by Leonardo Ulloa in what was the N8gerian’s 28th appearance in the UEFA Champions League.

A brace from Andre Silva coupled with other strikes from Jesus Corona, Yacine Brahimi and Diogo Jota gave the Portuguese side a deserved win at the Estadio Dragao.

Despite the embarrassing defeat the reigning English champions finished as group winners with 13 points while Porto were second with 11 points.

In the other game in the group, Copenhagen defeated Club Brugge 2-0 to advance into the Europa League competition, having finished third.

In Group F, Borussia Dortmund came from two goals down to draw 2-2 Real Madrid and finish top of the group, setting a new record scoring 21 group phase goals. Karim Benzema’s brace was cancelled out by second half goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus.

In the other fixture in the group, a 30th minute strike from Guilherme handed Legia Warszawa a 1-0 home win over Sporting CP.

The triumph ensures the Polish side drops to the UEFA Europa League.
