Nigerian winger Moses Simon is pleased to be part of the Gent side through to the UEFA Europa League round of 16 stage at the expense of English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
An own goal from Harry Kane and a late strike from substitute Jeremy Perbet earned the Belgian side a 2-2 draw in the second leg game at Wembley to advance 3-2 on aggregate. Gent had defeated Spurs 1-0 in the first leg at the Ghelamco Arena last week.
Moses featured for 75 minutes before he was replaced by Perbet who went on to score the equaliser in the 82nd minute of the encounter.
He wrote via his Twitter handle: "Glory be to God we did it again, happy to be part of this team. One team one dream."
Simon has made 32 appearances this season in all competition for Gent who sit eight in the Belgian Pro Division log with 41 points from 27 games.
His compatriot Anderson Esiti played the entire duration of the game against Tottenham while Samuel Kalu and Rabiu Ibrahim were both unused substitutes.
