–Flying Eagles assistant coach hails AYC star
Flying Eagles assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade has declared that Bernard Bulbwa’s reported deal with the Tunisian side will help the youngster’s career.
It emerged on Thursday that Bulbwa who scored the U-20 team’s trophy winning goal against hosts, Senegal, in last month’s Africa Youth Championship, AYC, has signed a four year contract with the ‘Blood and Gold’ club of Tunisia.
“I’m hearing this for the first time”, starts Ugbade, when Complete Sports called him up on Thursday.
“But if it is indeed true, I think it will be a good one for him. It will help his career especially given the fact there is another Nigerian player (Emem Eduok) in the club, who will help him settle down quickly.
“Of course, that will be a good beginning for him even though I would have preferred a move to Europe for him.”
Bulbwa scored an eye-catching goal in the AYC final which turned out to be the best goal of the tournament.
