Assistant coach of the Flying Eagles Nduka Ugbade has stated that there are no injury worries as the team prepares to travel out of the country on Wednesday for Germany, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The training tour of Germany is in continuation of the team’s preparations for this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup taking place in New Zealand.
Speaking with Completesportsnigeria.com, Ugbade says Musa Yahaya who missed the AYC in Senegal due to injury is fit and will be travelling with the team.
“Preparations for the training tour has been interesting, but a bit stressful. There are no injury worries, the players are all ready, the other guys whom we are expecting will join us in Germany. Musa Yahaya is fine. In fact, he is getting better. He has been training with us and will travel with the team for the training tour of Germany.
Ugbade also hints that the duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Success, who featured in Manchester City U-18s and Granada games respectively on Monday, were monitored by the coaching crew.
“We are aware that Kelechi scored for Manchester City U-18 team because we monitored the game. Also, we saw Isaac Success in action for Granada,” Ugbade states.
The Flying Eagles are grouped along with Brazil, Hungary and North Korea at the U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
They will open their account against old nemesis Brazil.
