Nduka Ugbade has quit Nigeria Professional Football League newcomers , Remo Stars, after negotiations for a new contract broke down, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The former Nigeria international has been under scrutiny following the Sky Blue Stars' poor start to the season.
Both parties have now decided to severe ties after they failed to reach an agreement on a contract renewal.
Ugbade joined the club at the start of the 2015/2016 season Nigeria National League season and led the club to gain promotion to the NPFL.
The management of the club are expected to name a new head coach in the coming days.
Remo Stars will play away against Akwa United in the NPFL matchday-six fixture on Sunday.
