Ugbade: Success Isaac Will Succeed At Watford

By James Agberebi:

Former Nigeria international Nduka Ugbade has expressed his delight following Success Isaac's record move from Granada to English Premier League side Watford FC.

Isaac signed a five-year deal with the Hornets for a club-record transfer fee of £12.5 million.

In a chat with Completesportsnigeria, Ugbade, who was assistant coach to Manu Garba when Isaac helped the Golden Eaglets win the 2013 U-17 World Cup in the UAE, said the big money move didn't come as a surprise to him.

"That's an interesting move, a good one," Ugbade told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"I have always believed that most of these boys from the Golden Eaglets team of 2013 would go places, I had no doubts.

"When I hear things like this, I always say thank God because it is like a prophesy that has come to pass.

"Beyond the ability as a player, we have equipped Isaac and his former team-mates in order for them to meet up with the modern demands of football. Helping them to build the ball intelligence, technical ability and physical awareness, that is how to use their body.

"So for years to come, they are going to be achieving a lot. And I'm waiting for the likes of Wilfred Ndidi and Taiwo Awoniyi to emerge and we are all witnesses to the success of Kelechi Iheanacho at Manchester City."

He added:"Coming to the English league and being this expensive, they will be expecting a lot from him.

"The issue is that it will take him a little time to adjust to the intensity and speed but I'm confident he will succeed."
