Anthony Ujah failed to add to his five goal tally for his Chinese Super League side Liaoning Hongyun who lost 1-0 at home to Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng on Saturday reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ujah who has made 14 appearances this season could not help his side from suffering their fifth home defeat of the campaign at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Centre Stadium.
At the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, Obafemi Martins was not listed for Shanghai Shenhua by coach Gus Poyet as they drew 2-2 at Jiangsu Suning FC. He has missed eight CSL games this season
Martins is the highest scoring Nigerian in the CSL with six goals in seven games, with three assists , and he is closely followed by the 26 year old Ujah with five goals and two assist.
In Sweden, Chisom Egbuchulam made his second start for BK Hacken in their home loss to Malmo FF.
Egbuchulam was on for the entire duration of the encounter which saw referee issue nine yellow cards and two red cards at the Bravida Arena.
It was his fourth appearance in the Swedish League this season for Egbuchulam.
Also in the CAF Champions League, Junior Ajayi was replaced in the 62nd minute for Walid Soliman as Al Ahly beat Coton Sport 3-1 to advance to the next round of the competition as second placed team in Group D with a superior goal difference of +2 over third place Zanaco FC.
Both Al Ahly and Zanaco FC were tied on 11 points after six games.
Al Ahly will play the winner of Group C, which could be either Esperance of Tunisia or Mamelodi Sundowns FC froom South Africa.
