Super Eagles forward, Anthony Ujah, was on target for Werder Bremen in their 3-1 away win against Hoffenheim in a Bundesliga clash on Sunday. 

Ujah who provided the assist for Bremen’s opening goal, scored by Zlatko Junuzovic, struck in two minutes added time to seal the win for Bremen. The goal was Ujah’s second in four Bundesliga appearances.

Leon Balogun made a return to the field of play after suffering a slight knock but couldn’t prevent Mainz from losing 2-1 to Schalke 04. The game was Balogun’s fifth for Mainz this season.

In Slovakia, Super Eagles midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim was on the score sheet for AS Trencin as they defeated Spartak Trnava 5-3. Ibrahim scored on 39 minutes to put Trencin 3-0 ahead. He has now scored two goals in eight appearances this season.

Elderson Echiejile featured for AS Monaco in their 1-0 away win against Ajaccio. Echiejile was on for 90 minutes but got into the referee’s book in the 76th minute. The game was his third league appearance this season.

In the Turkish league, Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona, was in the starting line-up for Rizespor as they played a 1-1 draw against Sivasspor. Oboabona, who played for 90 minutes in the match, now has four league games under his belt.

Former Inter Milan midfielder, Joel Obi, made his debut for Torino in their 2-2 away draw to Hellas Verona in Serie A. Obi was to later make way for Afriyie Acquah in the 51st minute.

Still in Italy, Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, was an unused substitute as Lazio defeated visiting Udinese 2-0 inside the Stadio Olimpico. Onazi is yet to feature in the league this season for Lazio.

Super Eagles midfielder, Nwankwo Obiora, saw 90 minutes of football as his club Academica lost 2-0 away to Nacional in the Portuguese League. The game was his fourth of the season.

In the Russian league, Super Eagles midfielder, Haruna Lukman, was introduced for Lorenzo Ebicilio in the 76th minute in Anzhi’s 2-0 home loss to Terek Grozny. The game was Lukman’s sixth so far this season.

And in the Belgian league, Imoh Ezekiel of Anderlecht and Wilfred Ndidi of Gent were in action as their teams played a 0-0 draw. Ezekiel replaced Matias Suarez in the 78th minute while Ndidi played 90 minutes.
