–To announce the lifting of the suspension
Activities at the Glass House secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF was slow yesterday as the management and staff waited for the lifting of the suspension order by FIFA following the alleged vacation of the court order by a Jos High Court.
It would be recalled that NFF beat the July 17 deadline given by FIFA for the Aminu Maigari led board to be reinstated and the government desist from further interference.
Secretariat staff discussed in hushed voices as they waited for the lifting of the suspension and what becomes of the sacked board and management.
But an inside source told Complete Sports that the documents vacating the court case instituted by Mrs Baribote was supposed to have been sent to FIFA by the suspended General Secretary Musa Amadu.
Although the new management led by Lawrence Katken were all in the office but they kept sealed lips on the true situation of things as regards the lifting of the suspension by FIFA
“We don’t know what the true picture is with the suspension because FIFA has yet to react but we hope something positive will come before the end of today’s (yesterday) deadline” said an NFF source said.
