A January transfer window duel between Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for Flamengo’s Lucas Paqueta is reportedly developing. Le10 Sport claim, in an exclusive, that the two clubs are chasing the signature of the left-footed Brazilian midfield talent.
PSG have been in talks with the Rio-based outfit over a deal for slightly less than his 50m euros release clause – in the region of 40m.
At the moment, they report that the battle will be between PSG and United for the 21-year-old, who earned his first caps for the Brazilian national team this month.
However, they add the proviso that two other big clubs, which have not officially declared their interest to Flamengo for the moment, are ready to launch an ambush.
Barcelona and AC Milan are understood to be the clubs yet to enter the fray.
