–Real Madrid willing to sell former spurs star
Should Manchester United stump up the £90 million required to sign Bale – and reports in Spain suggest that they are – then Real Madrid will use a large portion of that figure to lure Hazard to the Spanish capital.
It was reported in September that Hazard was close to signing a new bumper contract with the Blues. Two months on, however, and the technically-gifted attacking winger is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with his current employers.
Real Madrid are now willing to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United in order to generate the required funds to sign Chelsea winger Eden Hazard.
This is according to the Daily Star, who cite publications in Spain as suggesting Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is prepared to offload the world’s most expensive player if it results in the acquisition of Belgium international Hazard, who is now unquestionably one of the Premier League’s best players.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will do everything in his power to keep Hazard at Stamford Bridge, but could be powerless to prevent the 23-year-old from completing a dream move to the Bernabeu in the near future if a big enough offer comes in.
