Nigerian striker, Fanendo Adi, is pleased to have made his debut for his new club, FC Cincinnati, in Sunday’s United Soccer League (USL) game against Nashville, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Adi fired blanks in the encounter which ended 1-1 at home with Nashville FC but remains confident the team will bounce back to winning way in their next game.
Adi, who is Portland Timbers’ second best all-time highest goal scorer replaced Danni Konig in the 73rd minute of the game.
“What a beautiful atmosphere, thanks @fccincinnati for that huge welcome,=not the best result but we will only get better, on to the next,” he tweeted after the game.
Adi moved to a division lower with FC Cincinnati who are expected to feature in the top-flight Major League Soccer (MLS) next year.
Cincinnati currently lead Group A of the USL with 45 points from 22 league games.
