OB Odense midfielder, Izunna Uzochukwu, believes the extra work he and his teammates had in pre-season will pay dividends when they kick-start their Danish Premier League title defence at home to AGF Aarhus on Friday
Izunna who was instrumental to Midtjylland's title success last season acknowledges that his experience will be handy for his new teammates as they aim to overhaul league leaders, Copenhagen, who are 11 points ahead.
The Nigeria international who signed a three and half year deal at the club in January told Completesportsnigeria.com that he foresees a bright start for the club in the League.
"The manager deserves a lot of credit for the work we do in pre-season. He gets everybody ready and sharp, and I'm in perfect condition and ready to give my best to the team," he began.
"I was very pleased with the way the team played in pre-season and I can tell you we are ready," Izunna adds.
"It's going to be tough winning the league, but we will go out there with the belief we can."
The former Amkar Perm star scored once in four pre-season game. for his new club.
