–On Residence Permit request for Sundowns deal
Nigeria international, Ejike Uzoenyi says he has submitted his papers for request of residence permit to the South African embassy in Abuja and is now awaiting their response.
“I’ve been in regular talks with officials of Mamelodi Sundown and they are eagerly awaiting my arrival”, says the Super Eagles winger.
“I’ve submitted all the necessary papers to the South African embassy in Abuja and I’m only waiting to hear from them.
“They told me once it’s it’s ready they will call me, so I’m still all ears, waiting”, the Enugu Rangers attacking midfielder said.
Uzoenyi convinced Sundowns hierarchy that he has what it takes to wear their yellow and blue outfit with three man-of-the-match performances during the CHAN in South Africa in January, going ahead to grab the Tournament’s MVP award.
The former Gateway United ace eventually made Super Eagles 23-man squad list for the concluded FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil, making a substitute appearance in Super Eagles group F match against Bosnia.
