–CHAN Eagles MVP insists national team future still bright
Dropped Super Eagles winger, Ejike Uzoenyi has said has taken his omission from the Super Eagles World Cup team in good faith with the believe he can still play for the national team in the future.
“It hurts to be left out of the world Cup party but then that’s not the end of life. Though I expected to be there with the team in Brazil but it’s not going to be everybody’s party in Brazil.
“One can only wish the lucky ones good luck because they are representing our country. We need to pray for them to succeed because we’re all in it together, though physically I’m not there but spiritually I’m there with them.”
The Enugu Rangers left-winger who signed a deal with Sundowns of South Africa after the 2014 CHAN where he was voted as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, MVP, added that the Super Eagles will excel in Brazil.
