Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho is delighted to have helped his LaLiga 1l2l3 side Elche record their fourth win of the season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Uzoho was outstanding for Elche who defeated Rayo Majadahonda 3-1 away on Sunday. The win was Elche’s first in seven consecutive games.
The lonee shot-stopper from Deportivo La Coruna made four key saves, completed 55% of his passes and also made one clearance to help Elche move to 14th position in the table with 20 points from 18 games.
“Important win today. In Christ Alone,” Uzoho tweeted via his official Twitter handle after the game along with his picture.
Uzoho, 19, has kept three clean sheets and made five starts this season, conceding six goals.
An own goal from Luis Delgado in the 57 minutes put Elche ahead before Ivan Sanchez doubled their lead two minutes later.
The hosts, Rayo Majadahonda reduced the deficit in the 74th minute through Aitor Ruibal, but Sory Kaba ensured the points were safe for Elche.
