Ernesto Valverde admits he is struggling to patch together a team due to Barcelona’s current injury woes. Luis Suarez, Arthur, Jasper Cillessen, Sergi Roberto and Rafinha have all been ruled out of Wednesday’s Champions League trip to PSV Eindhoven, with Rafinha out for the season.

It is also unclear whether or not Philippe Coutinho or Ivan Rakitic will be risked for the trip to the Phillips Stadium, with the Blaugrana knowing a win will secure top spot in Group B.
Valverde admits he is down to the bare bones but, having previously made do without Lionel Messi, he is confident his side can survive.
He told reporters: “There are casualties of all kinds, in the last two Champions League games we did not have Messi through injury. We are all stronger, but we try to think of those who are here more than those who are not.
“I try to put out a competitive team when I have casualties, I look where I have to look. I have nothing to say, I have a first team and then a second.”
