–Eagles star registered for 2014/2015 campaign
Super Eagles forward Babatunde Michael has been registered by his Ukrainian side Volyn for the upcoming season, ending speculation of him joining another team.
The Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup star who joined Volyn few weeks back in preparation for the new season, was registered alongside his team-mates.
It would be recalled that the former youth international was linked with different clubs across Europe.
He featured in two games for the Super Eagles at the World Cup against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Argentina.
Ironically, his World Cup campaign ended rather abruptly following a fracture he suffered after Ogenyi Onazi’s shot hit him in the arm in the Eagles 3-2 loss to Argentina.
The Super Eagles later crashed out of the Mundial after a heart-breaking 0-2 defeat by the Les Bleus of France in a Round of 16 clash.
Babatunde’s enlistment in Volyn’s squad for the season thus ended speculation on his future amidst reported interests on him by several clubs including Qatari club.
