*Bog Snorkelling*

The Welsh town of Llanwrtyd Wells is the proud home of the World Bog Snorkelling Championships  The Great British Olympics each August. Competitors must successfully negotiate 60 yard-long mud and water-filled trenches. Some do so wearing costumes to add to the fun. The current world record, set in 2014, is 82.56 seconds.

The hens are given three minutes to cross the finish line, and any fighting between birds results in instant disqualification for each.

*Black Pudding Throwing*

An ancient grudge between Yorkshire and Lancashire About the Wars of the Roses has resulted in the black pudding hurling competition taking place each September near Bury.
