Warri Wolves Players Protest Over Unpaid 7-Month Salaries

-Threaten To Boycott Sunshine Game

Warri Wolves players have threatened to boycott Saturday's Glo Premier League week 32 encounter against title rivals, Sunshine Stars, if their salaries are not paid reports, Completesportsnigeria.com.

The players Completesportsnigeria.com scooped are owed seven months salaries by the club.
They also refused to train Wednesday morning despite pleas from top officials of the club.

One of the players who pleaded anonymity informed Completesportsnigeria.com  that they are on their way to the government house in Asaba protest over the issue.

"They (the management) of the club have not paid us our salaries for the past seven months," the player revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com.

"As I'm talking to you now, we are on our way to the government house in Asaba where we hope to meet the Delta State governor.

"We did not train on Wednesday and  we have made it known to the management of the club that we will not  honour the game against Sunshine Stars if our demands are not met."

The League Management Company few weeks back ordered the club to pay the players' entitlements  or face serious sanctions including a points deduction.

The majority of the clubs in the Nigerian top flight have struggled to pay their players' salaries this season.
On Tuesday, players of Port Harcourt-based sides, Dolphins and Sharks also boycotted training over the non-payment of their salaries.
